Nintendo Switch & Switch 2 Deals This Week — Mario Day Prices Are Still Live

Mario Day (March 10) has technically come and gone, but a surprising number of the sale prices are still hanging around. If you missed the window to grab Switch or Switch 2 games at a discount, you might not have missed it entirely.

Switch games on sale right now

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is $40 (was $60). This one is worth calling out specifically — the HD-2D treatment looks incredible, and if you’ve never played the original DQ3, this is an easy recommendation. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is also sitting at $40, down from $60. Bowser’s Fury alone is worth the price of admission; it’s one of the more inventive things Nintendo has done in years.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (digital) is $30, half its usual price. The remake cleaned up really well and it’s one of the best Paper Mario games ever made, full stop.

Also worth noting: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is $47 and Mario vs. Donkey Kong is $45. Neither is a screaming deal, but both are lower than they’ve been in a while.

Switch 2 is getting some love too

Switch 2 titles don’t go on sale often, so it’s actually notable that we’re seeing discounts right now. Octopath Traveler 0 and Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut are both at their lowest prices ever. If you picked up the Switch 2 and are looking to build out your library, these are solid picks.

Accessories and hardware

The PDP Afterglow Wave Wireless Controller is $40 (was $60) — officially licensed, two programmable back buttons, 20+ hour battery. A legitimate Pro Controller alternative at a good price. The Turtle Beach Rematch is also $40 with a glow-in-the-dark design and 40-hour battery if that’s more your style.

If you’re just getting into the Switch 2 ecosystem, the Next Ultimate Switch 2 Starter Kit at $20 is solid — includes a travel case, screen protector, thumbstick grips, and a USB-C charger. About $44 worth of stuff for $20 is hard to argue with.

As for hardware: the Switch Lite (Gray) is $180 at GameStop (was $230) and a refurbished Switch OLED is $270 at Best Buy (was $400). The OLED refurb is the better value if you want a handheld that’ll last another few years.
